This file contains entries that are used in selection lists within the tracking software. The entries for these selection lists may eventually be rolled up for reporting to the Emergency Department director.

.01name(+)0;1FREE TEXTBThis is a unique name for a value in a selection list used by the patient tracking system. Each name is made unique by a prefix. This prefix is "edp." for nationally exported names. Names that are added by the site are prefixed with the station number and a period -- "500.", for example.
.02display name(+)0;2FREE TEXTThis is the name of the selection that should appear on the display board.
.03abbreviation(+)0;3FREE TEXTThis is an abbreviation of the display name that is used in some reports.
.04national code0;4POINTER233.1This will allow a mapping from a site defined code to a national code when such a code exists.
.05flags0;5FREE TEXTThe flags are used to further classify a specific code. The possible flags are: M: Missed Opportunity A: Admission VA: VA Admission O: Observation Multiple flags are allowed. No delimiters are required, as each character has a specific meaning. In the case of "VA", the "A" indicates an admission and the "V" indicates that the admission was to the VA.
