This is a standardized Prosthetic HCPCS file that contains HCPCS code used in Prosthetics. Sites are not allowed to update, add, edit or delete entries from this file. Only the SYNONYM and ITEM fields are editable, and can be edited in the sites, all other fields will only be updated by the Prosthetics Data Validation Group and update nationally will take place through a patch.

.04	non-billable flag	4;2	BOOLEAN	1:YES 0:NO		This field flags a HCPCS to be non-billable. This will be used in the future for billing purposes. Currently this field is not used.
1	new hcpc code	0;3	POINTER	661.1		A new HCPCS code to be used once a HCPCS has been deactivated by Prosthetics Data Validation Group.
1.1	date/time last update	0;11	DATE-TIME			This is the date and time the record was last updated.
1.2	last update	0;12	FREE TEXT			This is the identifier associated with the last update.
1.3	version date	5;2	DATE-TIME			This date represents the most recent update to a HCPCS code in the PCM gold copy. Version date is controlled by PCM and is used to synchronize VistA HCPCS updates with the enterprise asset management system.

30	rental flag	5;1	BOOLEAN	1:YES 0:NO		This is a flag use by sites to designate an item issued under a particular HCPCS to have a possible Rental (RR modifier). If this field is set to 'YES', user will be asked if the item issued is a RENTAL.
