This is a locally populated file which contains the categories that group procedures within the Event Capture software. Each site will determine their local categories and the extent of their usage.

Fields

.01	name(+)	0;1	FREE TEXT		B	This is the name of the category. This is a locally defined name. Each site should create their categories using the Event Capture Management Menu options within the software.
1	dt create	0;2	DATE-TIME			This field contains the date the category was created.
2	dt inactive	0;3	DATE-TIME		C	This field contains the date this category was inactivated. The category may be reactivated by entering an "@" at the date prompt thus deleting the inactive date. An Activate/ Inactivate Local Category option is provided on the Event Capture Management Menu to update this field.
