This field is only necessary when the process in question must occur in a particular sequence (e.g., to insure that a document is always released from draft before it is verified).
.03	required?	0;3	SET OF CODES	1:REQUIRED 0:OPTIONAL		This field specifies whether the step is required or optional for completion of the document (e.g., Dictation and transcription is the typical means by which Discharge Summaries are acquired, but they may be entered directly by the provider, if preferred).
.04	resulting status	0;4	POINTER	8930.6		This is the status of the document following completion of the step in question. For instance, if a discharge summary is to be registered as unsigned following verification, this would be indicated in the RESULTING STATUS field.
