This file holds the DSS translation tables for entries in the HOSPITAL LOCATION file (#44). For each clinic, this file holds its name, stop code, credit stop code, and DSS alternatives for both stop code and credit stop code. Also included is a field indicating which code should be sent to the DSS commercial software, that is, stop code, credit stop code, or both. If there is no data in this file for a given clinic, the stop code in the HOSPITAL LOCATION file (#44) will be used. If DSS alternate stop codes are entered, they will be used in place of those entered in the HOSPITAL LOCATION file (#44). This file should be reviewed by the DSS manager on a regular basis and corrected as needed. Since several fields in this file are linked to fields in the HOSPITAL LOCATION file (#44), data in this file should be entered and edited only by using the DSS software and not by direct access via VA FileMan.

3	dss stop code	0;4	NUMERIC			Three digit Stop Code number assigned to specific location. Each Stop Code number represents a type of care or Service/treating specialty (clinics only). Stop code must have a restriction type of Primary or Either.
4	dss credit stop code	0;5	NUMERIC			Appointments to this clinic will receive this Stop Code credit in addition to the 'normal' Stop Code credit if a Stop Code different from the 'normal' Stop Code for this clinic is entered here. Credit Stop Code must have a restriction type of Secondary or Either.
5	action to send(+)	0;6	SET OF CODES	1:SEND STOP CODE 4:SEND BOTH AS ONE RECORD WITH CHAR4 CODE 5:SEND BOTH AS ONE RECORD WITHOUT CHAR4 CODE 6:DO NOT SEND		This determines how alternate stop code and alternate credit stop codes are combined to form a feeder key for this clinic.

7	national code(+)	0;8	POINTER	728.441		The NATIONAL CODE is a four character code that is optionally used to build part of the DSS Feeder Key field in the DSS Clinic (CLI) Extract. If used, the four character code helps describe/identify the clinic the CLI Extract record is for.
8	dss unit identifier	0;9	FREE TEXT			This field will identify clinics which are used for non-OR procedures in the Surgery package.
9	inactive date	0;10	DATE-TIME			This is the date that MAS inactivated this clinic.
10	dss product department	0;11	FREE TEXT			The nationally defined DSS Intermediate Department Number designated to the patient care product being provided.
11	non-count clinic (y/n)(+)	0;12	BOOLEAN	Y:YES N:NO		Is this clinic to be a non-count clinic for workload purposes? OR Are visits to this clinic to be included in workload statistics?
12	record last synched	0;13	DATE-TIME		C	This is the date the entry in this file was last synched.
